Competition Rules
Next Big Teen Competition Rules & Guidelines
- Participants must be between the ages of 13–19 years old at the time of registration.
- A parent or legal guardian must complete and approve the registration form for all participants under 18 years old.
- All contestants must display respectful behavior toward judges, staff, participants, sponsors, and audience members at all times.
- No profanity, hate speech, bullying, violence, sexually explicit content, or inappropriate behavior will be tolerated during performances, rehearsals, interviews, or online interactions connected to the competition.
- Music and performances must be submitted by all stated deadlines. Failure to submit required materials on time may result in disqualification or loss of performance slot.
- All performances must remain within the assigned time limit provided by the competition staff.
- Contestants must use original content or have proper permission/license to perform copyrighted material.
- Contestants are expected to help promote the competition through social media, ticket sales, and community support efforts.
- Participants must arrive on time for rehearsals, interviews, call times, and scheduled performances. Excessive tardiness may result in penalties or removal from the competition.
- Next Big Teen reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is considered disruptive, unsafe, disrespectful, or damaging to the reputation of the competition.
- Judges’ decisions are final and cannot be disputed.
- By participating in the competition, contestants and parents/guardians agree that Next Big Teen and its affiliates may use photos, videos, interviews, and performances for promotional, television, streaming, social media, and marketing purposes.
- Entry fees, sponsorship fees, and registration payments are non-refundable unless the event is officially canceled by the organizers.
- Participants understand that being selected to compete does not guarantee prizes, management, contracts, or future opportunities.
- Next Big Teen reserves the right to update or modify competition rules when necessary to ensure fairness, safety, and professionalism.
